The oldest Catholic school in Niagara, St. Nicholas Catholic Elementary School opened its doors in downtown St. Catharines in 1857. The school is named for the early Christian saint, St. Nicholas, who was devoted to charity and an advocate for justice.
Nearly 170 years later, St. Nicholas Catholic Elementary School is proof of Catholic education’s strong roots and lasting ties to the community it serves.
Led by a team of professional Catholic educators, St. Nicholas Catholic Elementary School is a safe, inclusive space, where more than 225 students continue to learn and grow together in faith at St. Nicholas Catholic Elementary School today. Before and after-school childcare is available at St. Nicholas Catholic Elementary School through Way to Grow Daycare.
